Guruji

This is me, Mr. Gumbo, and Guruji at Guruji’s last tour in New York City, a few years ago.  It’s not the most flattering photo of me or the hubby (as you can see, we were absolutely drenched in sweat from our practice) but I think Guruji’s amazing luminosity shines through.  That week was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and I feel so blessed to have been able to practice with Guruji, Saraswati and Sharath.  I can’t begin to imagine what is happening as Guruji now transitions on into the next life, or next world, or wherever he is.  I only know that a spirit such as his that touched so many lives most certainly lives on.

Love how the three of you seem to touch or embrace each other ever so gently by the tender placement of your arms.

I am sad for you, but as you say, his spirit lives on.

I hate to be superficial at this profound moment, but your Mr Gumbo is very nice-looking. You’ve never posted a picture of him before.

That’s not even a GOOD picture of Mr. Gumbo! He’s much better looking in person!

I have to agree, your hubby is hot. You make a great couple (even all sweaty… makes you “glow”!).

Thanks for posting the photo. You’re right, SKPJ does radiate a little more than a lot of people! What a life, and what a gift.

What a great shot to have! My yoga teacher read out an announcement on Tuesday then simply suggested that those of us who want to dedicated our practice to him. Then worked me to hell and back…
